The healing energy of cats
Beautiful, cute, playful, lovable. Many words can be said when describing these animals, but did you know that it has been proven that cats have the ability to heal? Cats are known not only for being self-healing, but also for their healing abilities that have a positive effect on humans too:
Cats can change our mood: These friendly creatures can bring real joy to our lives. Just by having them around, cuddle or interact with them will affect us positively as they can make us laugh, smile, open our heart or make us feel warm and cozy. Being happy releases serotonin in our brain, an important hormone for our well-being. For people who feel lonely, depressed or excluded, cats are perfect for helping them improve their condition.
Cats' purr can benefit our health: It is proven that a cat's presence in one's life can decrease possibilities for heart attacks and the cat’s purr can provide even bigger healing possibilities. Through their purr, cats can create vibrations that range from 20 to 140 Hz, which has been known to be medically therapeutic for both cats and humans alike. These frequencies promote bone health and healing. An old veterinarian adage once said: “If you put a cat in a room with a bunch of broken bones - the bones will heal”. In addition, these purr frequencies can also heal soft tissue damage, such as muscle, ligament and tendon injuries.
Cats can reduce stress: Owning a companion cat has been linked to reducing stress, which in turn lowers blood pressure. In addition, those suffering from migraines can be benefited from the steady, rhythmic sounds of a cat’s purr when lying down next to them and therefore help them ease their pain. On the other hand, by simply stroking a cat’s soft fur can help to relax, put your mind at ease and bring more clarity in your thinking. Cats can help improve depression and anxiety and bring more ease in our everyday life.
Cats can contribute in our well-being: It’s been proven that senior citizens who own a cat are shown to live longer lives than those who do not. These natural healers are able to sense if we have a pain or discomfort in our body or if we have emotional turbulence and they appear to comfort and support. Living with a cat can also improve our immune function by boosting it.
You might have already consider having a cat in your home as these special creatures can make us happier and healthier with their miraculous healing abilities.
I love you.
And remember,
Everything you seek, lies within your Self.
Heart to Heart,
Christina
