10 Affirmations that support your Nervous System
As we heal trauma and as we reconnect with the innate capacity of our body to heal itself we begin a journey of dialogue between the mind and the body. This dialogue can be done in a way that can truly support our Nervous System and provide safety and ease to our body in order to feel safe again.
Today I am sharing with you 10 affirmations that helped me re-connect with my body during my healing journey:
I deserve to have peace in my life.
I am worthy of releasing the pressure and burden I used to place on myself.
I am allowed to rest and do nothing if my body needs to.
I am safe to feel my emotions and express my feelings.
I am capable of restoring and re-imagining my softness.
I can celebrate my compassion to others while honoring my boundaries.
I deserve the love I so effortlessly give and pour into others.
It's ok to take my time and don't have to rush.
I don't have to overextend myself to over-give to be worthy.
It's ok to release the pressure to be strong all the time.
As a trauma survivor who is using somatic healing to restore authenticity and heal trauma I find very effective the words we use to describe what we feel and/or to talk to our selves and bodies. Choosing the right words can prevent re-traumatization and therefore assist your healing journey in order to be effective and integrative.
